Who should attend?

  • Archivists and Librarians, LIS students, Beginners and intermediate level learner of Digital Libraries
  • LIS Professionals working in digital environment who are interested in managing their digital content using some Open Source Software (Greenstone, Digital Library Software, DSpace, EPrints, etc)

 

Training Outcome.

After successful completion of this training will learn:

 

  • Introduction/basics of digital archives/digital libraries and repositories
  • International standards of digital libraries
  • Alternatives available for digital library management software in Free and Open Source Category
  • Installation, configuration, and customization of Free and Open Source Software for management of their digital collections
  • The concept of copyright and plagiarism and our role and responsibility as information professionals

  • PULISAA, PLA or PLC Members – PKR 600/- per participant
